The Cut Shoppe | Love You Always

Hello everyone, I have a fun layout to share with you today!  I have been playing with the new Rosey Posey cut file from The Cut Shoppe and I just couldn't wait to share today's post with you!

To create my layout, first I dropped a few drops of yellow and pink spray mist against a white cardstock background.  Next, I cut the Rosey Posey cut file from white cardstock and adhered it to my layout.  I used a wide tipped foam brush and painted over it with watercolors to make the cut file stand out.  I also cut out the cloud and hearts from the Sweet Hearts cut file, painted over them with watercolors and adhered them to the right side of my layout.  I trimmed a strip of word patterned paper from the Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine collection and added it to the top of my page. I finished by adding my title, die cuts, journaling and embellishments.

Scrapbook Circle | Be Real

For this month's Be Real post at Scrapbook Circle, I chose a photo from my phone that represents something I enjoy doing every day - having quiet "me" time with a cup of coffee.  I think most moms can relate to looking forward to a little bit of quiet time, when they can get it.

Gina Lideros Hello Quiet Time

To frame my photo, I chose papers from the Today is Beautiful kit that closely matched the colors in my photo.  I also cut apart some of the paper strips from the February printable (included with the Today Is Beautiful kit).
To add interest to my title, I used the Scrapbook Circle exclusive vellum "hello" die cut card and then spelled out the words "quiet time" using the Authentique petite type crush alpha stickers.

To embellish my layout I chose the Crate Kiss Kiss Thickers in Gold, Serendipity puffy sticker, and ephemera pieces from the Dream Big add-on.  I also added some simple machine stitching and splashes of white paint.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed my post!

Scrapbook Circle | XO

Hi there!  I have a layout to share today using the February Today is Beautiful kit from Scrapbook Circle.  In honor of Valentine's day, I thought it would be fun to share a layout featuring a Valentine's tradition - sweet treats.
On Valentine's Day each year, my husband and I pick out sweet treats for each other.  Last year's treats were some amazing cupcakes that we picked up at our local bakery.  We thought they were the perfect way to celebrate this day of love.

The papers from the main kit this month were a perfect match for my photo.  I added in a large "XO" title cut from my Silhouette Cameo and some ephemera pieces from the February Dream Big Add-on.
One of my favorite papers in the kit this month was the "Love Life" paper by Crate paper.  I loved that the paper looked like paint swatches that you would pick up at the hardware store.  I trimmed a few pieces from the paper and tucked them just below my large title. I finished the page by adding in some stickers, paint, and loose threads.

Do you have a favorite Valentine's day tradition that you've scrapped about?  If so, we would love for you share it with us over on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

American Crafts | Winter

It's winter week on the American Crafts blog!  I hope all of my friends on the East coast are staying warm and dry right now!

I wanted to document these recent photos that we took on a trip to Lake Tahoe last Winter.
I kept the embellishments at a minimum to focus on the photos and the overall graphic
design of the layout.

Supplies: Dear Lizzy (369206) - Serendipity 6x6 Paper Pad, Dear Lizzy (369188) - Sugar Sugar Paper, Dear Lizzy (369208)
- Soar/Woodgrain Print Chipboard Thickers, Dear Lizzy (369215) - Serendipity Enamel Dots, This To That (AM617-13) - Adhesive

How To:  Use a die cutting machine to cut triangles from different pieces of pattern paper.  Use a printer to print 5 small photos and trim them into a diamond design.  Piece together your background on a scrap piece of cardstock using repositionable adhesive (in case you need to re-align any of the pieces).  Trace around a large bowl or use a die cutting machine to trim your design into a large circle.  Adhere design to background patterned paper.  Spell out title "Winter" using thickers.  Finish by embellishing with enamel dots.

I hope you enjoyed my winter layout!  Thanks for looking!
