Catch a wave...
Hi friends,
I hope that you are enjoying your week so far. My Mom has been visiting for the last few days and we have been busy with all kinds of day trips and activities with the kids.
My Mom just started scrapbooking recently so she was looking for some ideas and supplies. We decided to make the drive up to Green Tangerines in Rocklin a couple days ago so that she could see their store. It is the largest scrapbooking store in our area.
While we were there I was ecstatic to see that they had the new Shoreline collection from American Crafts (I have been waiting to get my hands on this line).
We came back home to work on projects and I made this layout:
Catch a wave layout:
I love the colors in this line. It was perfect for this photo I had taken of a surfer at Ocean Beach (in San Francisco) a few years ago.
I cut out the scalloped background with my silhouette. I love how the scallops resemble waves. Then I added a few popped up blue pieces to the inside of some of the scallops.
I added a fringe paper strip and some fabulous shoreline embellishments and my layout was done in no time.
I'm thinking of making a card with this collection tonight. I think I'm hooked!

Girl's day out
Hi there,
I have a fun layout to share with you today using the Sketchbook line from American Crafts. We are having a cross promotion this week with Helmar on the Epiphany crafts blog. So, stop by to see all the wonderful projects the Design team made with their adhesives. For my Helmar project I decided to create a layout.
Girls day layout:
I used my Helmar's quick dry 450 to glue paper that I cut with my Silhouette to my pattern paper.
I also used my Helmar's quick dry 450 to glue my Epiphany Crafts round 14 shape studio bubblecaps to my page and to my brad setting.
*a fun tip:
Save your insert sheet that comes inside 12x12 collection packs. I used mine to make my bubblecap embellishments.
supplies:
Epiphany Crafts: round 14 shape studio tool, round 14 shape studio bubblecaps,
round 14 brad setting, round 25 shape studio tool, round 25 shape studio bubblecap
pattern papers, thickers, die cuts, ribbon from American Crafts (Amy Tangerine -Sketchbook collection)
tools: Silhouette Cameo
spray mist: Mister Huey's (Studio Calico)

hip hip hooray
Hi Friends,
I hope that your week is getting off to a great start. My friend Suzy West is visiting me and we have been scrapbooking together for the last couple of days. I love having her here. We always have so much fun together.
I have a fun layout that I recently made using the Pebbles hip hip hooray collection that I would like to share with you:
Hip hip hooray layout:
I thought that it would be fun to make a layout celebrating my daughters' 13th birthday. I used my Slice to cut out the numbers and circled the number 13 with twine.
Then I added pattern papers from Pebbles hip hip hooray collection, and some of their fun embellishments too. Have I told you that I am in love with this collection? I ove the little pinwheels, banners and fringe flowers. So fun!

WOW blog hop
Thanks for joining us for the WOW embossing powders Powder Puff girls blog hop.
I have a fun project to share with you today using Ebony regular and my Silhouette Cameo.
I recently received the Silhouette Cameo for my Birthday last week, I am still learning about how to use it and starting a fun collection of files. One of the first files I purchased was this Dear Lizzy doily by American Crafts:
I thought this doily would look great embossed, so I enlarged it to 11x11 and cut it with my silhouette. My next step was to completely cover it in Versamark ink and WOW ebony embossing powder. I had to go over it a few times to get complete coverage but I was really happy with the overall effect. The ebony powder gives it a glossy finish and really makes it stand out.
Cuteness X2 layout:

I have a fun technique that I would like to share with you.
How to make mini pom poms:
Take your twine and wrap it around a fork (about 20 times) leaving both ends of the twine loose.
Bring both ends of the twine up through the middle tongs of the fork, gather together tightly and tie.
Gently remove twine from fork, and with your scissors cut looped ends. Cut middle tie the same length as ends, and fluff.
supplies:
Epiphany Crafts: round 14 shape studio tool, round 14 bubblecaps, round 14 vintage settings - cabana, pennant 25 shape studio tool
