Hi Everyone,

I am sharing today to some vintage cards that I made for the Paper Bakery. I love all the little vintage ephemera pieces from My Mind's Eye that are included in the January Love Potion #9 Scrapbook kit. They helped pull these cards together in a snap.

American Crafts February Gallery layout / Matt Man

***If you are looking for the American Crafts blog hop go here ***

Hi everyone,
I have another fun layout to share today for the American Crafts February Gallery.  Once again, I used the super fun papers and embellishments from the Amy Tangerine Plus One collection.   I recently bought these fun hand drawn stars from Two Peas and after cutting a few, was totally inspired to create a background out of them.

Matt Man layout

I love the plain chipboard thickers in this collection.  They look great by themselves or you can spruce them up.

I added some stamping with Plus One stamps and Hero Arts white shadow ink (my favorite).  This layout came together quickly after adding a few sequins and wood embellishments.  So fun!
supplies: American Crafts: (Plus One Collection) Accompany Large clear acrylic stamps, Mixtape, matte puffy accent stickers, Bits, flair adhesive badges, natural chipboard thickers, peer paper, match paper, doubles paper, counterpart paper; Studio Calico: wood veneer stars (Printshop)

Thanks for stopping by today!

American Crafts February Gallery Layout \ This Happened

Hi there,

I have a a layout to share today for the American Crafts February gallery using the brand new Plus One collection from Amy Tangerine

If you know me, you know that I love bold colors, and this collction is all about the bold colors and patterns.

I was inspired by a picture that I saw on pinterest to create this layout.  Here is the photo:

and here is my take on it:

This Happened layout

I kept the hexagons and split them into 6 parts, just like the photo then I stitched them down.  They remind me of cute little pie charts.  All of the papers and embellishments in this collection are so fun to create with.

supplies: American Crafts: Amy Tangerine (Plus One) flair adhesive badges, companion paper, couple paper, match paper, date paper, co-pilot paper, sidekick paper, ensemble paper, friend paper, twosome paper, buddy paper, black foam phase thickers, matte puffy accent stickers, Bits, sticker roll; Polka Dot party collection: epoxy stickers, fringe flowers; Yes, Please: simplify yes vellum shapes; Printshop: heart veneers; Cut and Paste collection: Cut Out accents chipboard thickers

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be back next week with another gallery layout using the Plus One collection, and be sure to visit this Friday for the American Crafts Valentine's day blog hop.

Heart Confetti mini album

Hi,

Good morning.  Today and I am going to show you how to make this simple heart confetti pocket mini album using the January Love Potion #9 Scrapbook kit, from the Paper Bakery.

GinaLideros_youandmealbum

Gather up any left over scraps that you may have from your January Love Potion #9 Scrapbook kit, ephemera pieces, small confetti type punches, sequins and transparency paper (vellum paper works great for this too)!

GinaLideros_1

Using your punches make confetti out of left over scraps that you have from your kit.

GinaLideros_2

Open up the Paper Bakery January cut file in your Silhouette software program.

pb

I decided that I wanted to make my book using the heart file that is included in the cut file.  Delete all other shapes and enlarge the heart.  Using the cut tool remove the inside of the heart.

pb2

Duplicate the heart shape and run it through your Silhouette.  I cut my pockets out of transparency paper but you can use vellum for this too.

Place the two pieces together and use a sewing machine to stitch up the sides.  Leave an open space towards the top to drop in your confetti and sequins.

GinaLideros_3

After filling your heart shapes up with confetti and sequins,  use your sewing machine to stitch the of the heart up.

GinaLideros_4

Using a hole punch, punch through your heart page and add a jump ring.  Add additional pages and ephemera pages to complete your album.
