Merry and Bright

Hi everyone,

Happy New Years Eve! Can you believe that it is December 31st already? Where did the year go? This year marks the first ever US design team for WOW! embossing powders and our WOW! girls did a wonderful job representing our products. Stop by the WOW embossing powders blog to see some of the amazing creations our girls have made this year.

When I think of New Years I think of glitter - so I have a fun glittery layout to share with you today.

Title: Merry and Bright

I first started my layout by cutting out this 12x12 star background with my Silhouette.
Then I used my Versamark ink pad to ink the whole background in portions. I covered my background with Angel Wings embossing glitter and then heat embossed it. Because it was such a large area, I had to do a couple of layers. The result is so glittery and fun.

Next, I stamped my title Merry & bright on a shipping tag using the Merry and Bright Christmas stamp set and embossed my title and a few cut out stars using Sierra Sunrise.

WOW supplies:
Angel wings embossing glitter
Sierra Sunrise Embossing Glitter
Merry And Bright Christmas stamp set
other supplies:
vintage ephemera pieces, stick pins: My Minds eye
ink: Versamark
cutting tool: Silhouette Cameo
cutting file: mesh star lace (Jamie Koay)

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Be safe!

Lucky Me

stopping by with a quick one this afternoon. I created this layout with scraps I had on hand from Bella Blvd's new Kiss Me collection.

In light of the recent tragedy in Newtown, CT. I have been thinking about just how lucky I am to have 2 healthy beautiful children and I thank my lucky stars for them each and every day. Even when they drive me crazy (lol).

title: Lucky Me
This layout came together fairly quickly, I used up a lot of scraps on this layout by cutting them into strips, and laying them in a diagonal fashion.

supplies:
cardstock: white (Recollections)
pattern papers, designer tape, stickers, checkers button (Bella Blvd.)
tools: knockouts border punch (American Crafts)
Silhouette Cameo: lucky me title (Karla Dudley), stitched heart (American Crafts), arrow (Studio Calico)
adhesive: Scotch
pen: Zig

Gingerbread house traditions

Hi everyone,
I am up on the Bella Blvd.blog today with a layout that I created using their Saturday Sketch.

Gingerbread house traditions
I found this cute gingerbread house cut file in the Silhouette store and I thought that it would look great embellished with Bella Blvd. Neutral mix button and winter flag. I chose my pink and blue color scheme by pulling colors from my photos. I used a mix of papers from the Winter Wonder and Kiss Me collections to create this layout. I stayed pretty close to the original sketch by sticking with 4 photos, but changed it up a little by moving my title to the bottom right hand corner of the layout.

supplies:
Winter Wonder Collection: Ski Slopes
Flags: Winter
Kiss Me Collection: Bouquet Kisses, True Love
Christmas Wishes Collection: Cute Cuts
Cardstock Stickers: Just Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha+Bits
Chipboard Alphabets - Sienna: Pony
Designer Tape: Piggy Pink Stripe
High Five Alpha Stickers: Piggy Punch

Believe in the Magic of Christmas...

Hi there,
Good morning friends. I am up on the Bella Blvd blog this morning sharing a Christmas themed layout with non traditional colors.

Believe in the Magic Of Christmas Layout
I started off my layout by pulling papers from the Christmas Wishes collection. I loved the pink/red combo on the Candlelight paper, so I decided to bring in an additional pink (Love Notes Paper) from the Kiss Me collection. I love the mix of these two collections together. And the non-traditional Christmas colors brings in a feminine touch to the layout.

I added a swirled Christmas tree that I cut with my Silhouette as an accent mixed with Ciao Chip trees and Hearts for embellishments. For my title I used a mix of a Silhouette title with High Five Alphas and Chipboard alphas.

supplies:
Christmas Wishes Collection: North Pole, Candlelight
Cardstock Stickers: Alpha + Bits, Miniatures Stickers
Kiss Me Collection: Love Notes
Chipboard Alphabets - Sienna: Punch
Designer Tape: Piggy Pink Stripe
High Five Alpha Stickers: Piggy Punch
Button Market: Stars
Ciao Chip Everyday Elements: Trees, Stars & Hearts

The Simple things...

Hi everyone,
I had some time to scrap over the weekend in between picking out our family Christmas tree and decorating the house.
I found this cute 4x6 slanted tile card in Silhouette store. I think the general idea is to use it for Project life.

I thought it would look great on a layout, so I enlarged it in Silhouette Studio.

Here is a layout that I created with it, along with a few other Silhouette designs.

Hello Love....

Hi there,

Welcome to my second post for the Bella Blvd. Basically Bare team up. I just knew that when Basically Bare sent me these cute Stack-A-Bellies Birds that I was going to have to make a second project to showcase them on. So, I decided to create a layout using Bella's new collection Kiss Me.

Hello Love, Will you be mine forever? layout

I absolutely adore the color palette and chevron design on the Love Notes paper from the Kiss Me collection.
It is so bright and cheery and made the perfect background for my layout. I cut the fun arrow background using my
Silhouette and brought in a baby pink from the Baby Girl collection and small green chevron from the Spring Flings
and Easter Things collection. I love how Bella blvd lines all coordinate together so nicely. To embellish my layout I added some felt and acrylic bird pieces from Basically Bare and added Bella wood buttons and stickers to finish the layout.

supplies:
Kiss Me Collection: Love Notes, Cute Cuts,
Cardstock Stickers: Alpha + Bits, Just Write
Chipboard Alphabets - Sienna: Punch
Designer Tape: Piggy Pink Stripe
Sophisticates: Brown-Cream High Fives, Blue High Fives, Surf N Turf Paper

That Look

Hi everyone,

I must admit that I have not done a good job of keeping up with my blog this month. I recently had some projects that were picked up for publishing and I have been busy working on some extra projects for calls that I can't share yet.

I decided to take a break from all the submitting and just make something for fun the other day. I mean the kind of fun where you break out the spray inks and the Silhouette Cameo - and you just create to your hearts content - freely on paper.

That's how I came up with this layout. I had these sweet photos of my niece Sophia - and I wanted a spunky fun layout that would match her style.

That Look layout:

I used pie chart die cuts that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo and four different Bella BLVD collections. I love how trendy this turned out to be.

Bella Blvd supplies:
pattern papers: Momma's Boy (Baby Boy collection)
Happy Clouds (Sunshine and Happiness collection)
Christmas Love (Christmas Wishes collection)
Party Dress, Borders paper (Birthday Girl collection)
designer tape: Pickle Juice Chevron
Ciao Chip Simply Simona letters: pickle juice
Ciao Chip Essentials Oyster & Oreo: icon pieces; stars & hearts
tools:
knockouts border punch: (American Crafts)
Silhouette Cameo
cutting file: pie chart
spray mist: Mister Huey's (Studio Calico)
pen: Zig
adhesive: Scotch

You Make Me Happy card

Hi everyone,

Do you have plans for the weekend? It is raining here, my family and I are planning to go escape the rain by heading out to see Breaking Dawn part 2 in the theater.

I am up on the Ruby Rock-it blog today with a happy card.
What is more cheerful than a card that expresses to someone how happy they make you feel?

You Make Me Happy is the sentiment that I chose to use for this card, and these florals and embellishments from the Cook collection are sure to brighten someone's day.

You Make Me Happy Card

This card came together rather simply, I just love the burlap paper in this collection.

supplies:
Cook collection papers, ephemera pieces, floral, ribbon

Inspiration day!

Hi everyone,
Happy Tuesday (and election day)! Did you vote already? My husband and I decided to vote by mail this year, so we sent ours in last week.
I am up on the Bella Blvd blog today and have a fun layout to share with you!

This week we were given an inspiration photo and asked to create a layout based on the theme of the photo.
Our inspiration photo was this picture: (The Thankful Tree)
and here is my layout based on the theme photo....

So Many of My Smiles Begin With You layout:

I wanted to create a bright and cheerful layout about love using the brand new Kiss Me collection, but did not have a good photo of my husband and I on hand so I decided to make my layout about the love between siblings instead. It is rare that I am able to capture a good photo of my two children together, and even more rare to find them actually admitting that they like each other. But deep down, (between you and me)
they really adore each other.

I started my layout by cutting a large tree out of white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I used my Slice to cut hearts, flowers and leaves out of the Flutter and True Love papers. To add dimension, I slightly creased my shapes before adhering them to the tree. I added some pink flower buttons and some cute banner stickers with twine,
and finished off my layout by adding stickers from the Alpha+Bits and Just Write Sticker Sheets.

supplies:
Kiss Me Collection: Bouquet Kisses, Borders, Cute Cuts, True Love, Flutter
Cardstock Stickers: Alpha+Bits, Just Write
Button Market: Pink Flowers
