Maya road smile banner...
Hi friends,
I hope that your Monday is off to a great start. Mine sure is, I got the kids off to school, made it to the gym and got our grocery shopping all before 9am. Now I have the rest of the day to play in my scrap room, yay!
I have a fun project to share with you today. This week Epiphany Crafts has teamed up with Maya Road to bring you some amazing projects on their blog.
I am up today and I created a fun little banner for my scrap room
Smile Banner by Gina Lideros
Epiphany Crafts Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts: scallop 25 shape studio tool, round 25 shape studio tool, round 14 shape studio tool, scallop 25 shape bubblecaps
Maya Road: canvas banner pieces (from canvas banner album), wooden bird pieces, craft doilies, buttons
Pebbles: pattern papers, smile sticker, smile clothespins (Sunnyside collection)
Studio Calico: Mister Huey’s spray mist (mint julep)
adhesive: Beacon’s 3-in-1 quick dry glue
Brother: sewing machine
Guterman: thread
To create my banner, I first sprayed some Maya Road canvas banner pieces with spray mist:
Then I used my Epiphany Crafts scallop 25 shape studio tool, to make scallop epoxies and adhered them to my banner along with Maya Road craft doilies and Maya Road buttons.
Next, I used liquid glue to adhere Maya road wooden bird pieces.
Lastly, I punched some pieces of pattern paper using my Epiphany Crafts scallop 25 shape studio tool, round 25 shape studio tool, and round 14 shape studio tool.
Then I sewed them together in a long chain to make a stitched banner to hang from the top of my canvas banner. I then attached them with wooden clothespins.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have a fabulous Monday!

Rainbows and Sunshine

We are celebrating Rainbow week over at Epiphany Crafts!
stop by the EC blog to see what our design team has been up to all week.
I will admit that when I was first told that we were doing a rainbow challenge theme. I was a bit stumped. I kept thinking how can I put all these colors together on one project and make them coordinate with each other. Then I remembered that I had recently purchased the Amy Tangerine sketchbook collection from American Crafts and I thought that the colors in this line was perfect for the challenge!
Here is what I made:

rocking Wednesday with some cards
Hi Friends,
I hope that you are all enjoying some nice warm spring weather in your area. We had a couple of days of warm sunny weather last week and now it is raining non stop. I'm hoping for a sunny day again soon.
I have a couple of themed cards that I made last week that I would like to share with you using the Paper Doll line and Paper Boy line from Ruby Rock-it designs.
Girl's just wanna have fun card:

I used pattern paper, and banners from their Paper Doll collection and embossed cardstock from their Bella! collection. I just love their embossed cardstock so much. To show off the pattern I sanded it slightly with a piece of sandpaper from my husbands workshop. Who says that tools aren't for crafting? lol.
Next up I have a boy's themed card using their Paper Boy collection.
Let's Roll card:

I added a strip of canvas and I used the round 25 shape studio tool from Epiphany Crafts to make the round bubblecap. I just love that it fits perfectly into bottlecaps!
That's it for today, thanks for letting me share!

I hope you sing
Hi friends,
I hope that your Wednesday is off to a great start. I have been running around trying to finish last minute extra projects for the WOW powders booth at CHA. Only 2 days till I leave - I am getting excited, can you tell?
I wanted to share with you a card that was recently published in Create: Vintage Idea book 2012 by Northridge publishing that came out earlier this month.
I hope you sing card:

And here it is in print:

I always get so excited to see my work in print. And I love being able to showcase products from companies that I love and design for. For this card I used papers from Authentique's Blissful collection, and the round 25 shape studio tool from Epiphany Crafts. Funny story about my card - did you notice the silver button? My dog distressed it for me. I was sitting around the table scrapping with friends and I noticed that my button was missing. My dog Lilo was sitting under the table and I could hear her chewing on something. So I checked to see what was in her mouth and it was my missing button. The funny thing is that I actually liked the way the button looked more after it was distressed, it was to shiny before and she gave it a distressed look that was perfect for my vintage card. I have to give her credit for that, so thanks Lilo.
That's it for today, I am going to finish up some CHA projects and I will be back tomorrow to show you what I have been working on for the show.

quick and easy gift idea...
using Epiphany Crafts and Pink Paislee.
Hi friends,
I wanted to share with you a quick and easy gift idea that I made this month using Epiphany Crafts round 25 shape studio tool and snow day papers from Pink Paislee.
Bottlecap magnets:

these bottlecap magnets were really easy to make and make a great gift idea. I used the round 25 shape studio maker and round 25 bubblecaps along with papers from the Snow day collection (Pink Paislee), to make custom epoxies. The round 25 bubblecaps fit perfectly into standard size bottlecaps. Then I placed a small sticky magnet on the back of each bottlecap and placed them inside a metal tin.
supplies:
Epiphany Craft round 25 shape studio tool
Epiphany Craft round 25 bubblecaps
bottlecaps
Pink Paislee snow day collection papers
tinsel
