Teamwork

Hi everyone,
Wow, hard to believe that it is Wednesday already. Where has my week gone?
I have been spending quite a bit of time at the gym lately. Ever since we got a family membership over the summer it has been my obsession.

I have also been very busy with Cheer and Football. I am the team manager of Kalee's cheer team so I spend a lot of time there. Both teams won their games last weekend and we had a big celebration. I love when that happens.

I had some time to play with the Studio Calico Central High kit this week and had lots of misting fun!

Girls weekend

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I though that it would be fun today to share some pictures from my girls weekend last week.

I spent the whole weekend with my good friends Tricia Wilson and Suzy West, to celebrate Tricia's birthday.
We had a little party for her all set when she got to my house and then we spent the
day antiquing, wining, dining and scrapping. Perfect day!

The Birthday girl Tricia:

Here are some photos of one of the antique stores that we went to in Elk Grove, called the Red Door.

I just loved all of the stuff in this store!

I might have to go back to get that muffin tin, and the green basket that is holding it. I love the color.

In the evening we went to dinner at the Cheescake Factory. And I tried their famous Chinese Chicken salad. It was awesome!

I came home with a couple of great finds. I bought this old chalkboard and a cool set of baskets that will be perfect to hold my scrapbook supplies.
After spending the whole day shopping, we were pretty tired and didn't get much scrapping done. But we had a great time, talking, laughing and spending time together. I love my girlfriends, I would be lost without them.

A Great Day

Hi everyone,

I hope that your Monday is off to a great start. My son is home from school today, he is down with the same sore throat/ cough I had last week. I hope it passes quickly. I had some time this weekend (between cheer and football) to play with paper and decided to join in the Lily Bee Designs sketch challenge
The challenge was to create a layout using atleast 70% Lily Bee products using this sketch

I modified it a little to make it my own. Here is what I came up with.

A Great Day layout:

this was such a fun challenge and a great way to use up my scraps of paper I had left over from the handmade, double dutch and buttercup collections. I just saw that their new Persnickety line is shipping and I can't wait to get some!

Have a great day everyone!

dropping in to share some recent publications

Hi everyone,
I hope that your Saturday is off to a great start. Mine is looking up. I am finally starting to get over that nasty head cold that took me down earlier this week. Our family is headed out to a busy day of football and cheer today, but first I wanted to share some recent projects with you that were recently in print.

Let's roll card: (as seen in Cards Magazine August 2012)

Adorable Me layout: (as seen in Scrapbook Trends Magazine August 2012)

I gotta admit that I don't scrapbook layouts about myself very often. When I saw that ST was having a call for scrapping your baby photos, I thought it would be a fun challenge and decided to give it a try. Even more challenging was the 70's green and orange decor in all my baby photos. Not sure if you grew up in a 70's home like I did, but everything was green & orange. Good times! So, I decided to scan all of my old photos and reprint them in black & white. TFS!

Have a wonderful day!

Back to school organization with Epiphany crafts

Still feeling under the weather today, I hope this nasty head cold that I am fighting goes away real soon. Just popping by real quick today to share a back to school organization project that I have up on the Epiphany Crafts blog today.

Back to school pencil box

Back to school in our house always means shopping for new school supplies and pencils. No matter how many pencils I buy at the beginning of the school year they always seem to become misplaced when it comes to needing them for homework. That's why I created this small little pencil box to keep at home and keep nearby so that is always handy for homework. I'm sure my kids will thank me someday.

supplies:
Epiphany Crafts:
round 14 shape studio maker
round 14 bubblecap
round 14 brad setting
round 14 button studio maker
round 14 acrylic button

pattern papers & stickers: October Afternoon 9 to 5 collection
adhesive: Helmar's quick dry 450

a few of my favorite things...

Hi Friends,

I hope that your Labor Day weekend was filled with all sorts of good things. We had a long weekend of Cheer and Football for the kids, and I am feeling a bit under the weather now.
I am home today resting and nursing a sore throat with my first Pumpkin Spice latte of the season.
The good news is that it tasted great. I always look forward to Fall (my favorite season) and pumpkin spice lattes (my favorite drink). The bad news is that the drink didn't have any magical powers to cure my sore throat, so I am still feeling blahh.

I wanted to share a fun layout that I created last week with you. Pie charts are a big trend and I have been seeing then everywhere right now. I wanted to create a layout using a pie chart showing my love for my favorite things.
