Scrapbook Circle | String Art

Inspired by the new string art trend that is popping up on cards, scrapbook pages and wall art everywhere - I decided to create this fun look using the March Here's The Story kit from Scrapbook Circle.

To create my string art layout I used the Sweet Hearts cut file from The Cut Shoppe as a template.  I enlarged it and then cut it out with my Silhouette.  I placed the template over my background paper and then used a hole piercer to poke holes.  After all of my holes had been pierced I began to string the design with white embroidery thread.  I used my template as a visual guide so I would know where to thread each string.  After my string art design was complete, I trimmed a few pieces of patterned papers and randomly placed them behind some shapes in the design.  Next, I flicked a few drops of spray mist onto my layout and then added my title and photo.  I finished by dressing up my layout with embellishments from the main kit as well as the  On My Way Add-on kit and the Tell Me  Add-on kit.

I hope you were inspired by my project today.   Thanks for stopping by!
