Scrapbook Circle | April Planner kit

Hi everyone, did you get a chance to check out the new planner kit this month at Scrapbook Circle- Plan on It?

I love the mix of manufacturers and products in this kit!

@gina_lideros @scrapbookcircle April Planner kit

For this spread I am using my Heidi Swapp planner.  I like to use this planner for work and personal use.  I used the April planner kit along with pieces from the main kit and the Stay Cool and Now or Never add-on kits to embellish my pages.

I created an insert pocket by taking paper from the main kit, folding it in half, cutting it down to size and then using a hole punch to punch four holes on the left hand side.  The top of the pocket is open and I used it to place a tag inside.

On the backside of my pocket, I embellished it by adding a Crate paper fringe heart and  washi tape embellishments and brad sticker.

On the right hand side of my spread, I added washi tape pieces, stickers, journaling and suede tassels.  Adding cute tassels and bows and paperclips to my planner is always part of my pages.  I love having lots of cute pieces peeking out.

SBC | January 2016 Planner

Hi friends,

I'm sharing a planner spread on the Scrapbook Circle blog today using their January Fresh Start kit.

Here's a look at how I'm planning out my month.

I used the main kit along with the Shine and New Day Add-ons.  I do my planner ahead of time - at the beginning of each month  and write down all of my deadlines and special dates such as events and birthday's and then I add to it throughout the month. The Fancy Pants Happy Place Mixed Word and Shape Puffy Stickers (included in the main kit) are perfect for planning.

This kit is great for planning, if you haven't already, stop by today to pick one up in the Scrapbook Circle store.

Scrapbook Circle | December Mood Board

Hi there,
I have a new project today for Scrapbook Circle showing  how I used their December Mood board along with the Tell Your Story kit and The Documenter add-on  and Memory Keeper add-on to create my layout.

I loved the arrows, the fun bold colors and the different fonts that were present in this month's mood board.  I decided to use the December digital cuts to create my title for my page.  I found the title "Find Your Tribe, Love Them Hard" on social media a few months back and fell in love with it.  I knew that I wanted to use it as my title.  I cut each letter individually from different papers that were included in the main Tell Your Story kit.  Inspired by the bold colors in this month's mood board, I chose to use a variety of colors and patterns on my page.

I also loved the arrows in the mood board photo.  I chose several arrows from the main kit and add-on kits and added them to my page.  I even cut one out of my background before I put my page together using my Silhouette Cameo.  I added a black and white photo and a few stickers to finish off my page.  The combination of the black and white photo and black and white background paper along with all of the colorful letters and arrows make me smile.

I hope my page motivates you to use this month’s Mood Board as inspiration in your projects!  Share them with us on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page so we can all see!

Scrapbook Circle | Design Team Choice

Hi there!  I have another new layout to share with you today using the Scrapbook Circle's October Mix Tape kit and Add-ons.

September 27th, was a memorable night.  We experienced a blood moon and solar eclipse.  I took my trusty Canon 6D out for a walk and decided to shoot the moon.  I chose my favorite photo from the shoot and decided to document it on my layout using the Mix Tape kit and add-ons.

I love using geometric shapes on layouts.  To create the background for this layout I trimmed several pieces of the patterned papers included in the main kit into squares and rectangle shapes and then adhered them to a white cardstock background.  I used my sewing machine to stitch down a few of pieces.  Then I added in extra embellishments from both of the add-on kits.

Scrapbook Circle | Take Two

Hi everyone!  I am sharing a post on the Scrapbook Circle blog today called: Take Two.  I am sharing my take on a previous layout made from Creative Team member Rebecca.  Here is her layout:

rk-sc-sept-1-931x1024

I loved the white background that Rebecca used on her layout.  I loved the mix of patterned papers and the geometric triangle shapes.

and here is my take on Rebecca's layout:

I still kept the white background and I used several triangles, just like in Rebecca's original layout.  But I moved my triangles around on my page.  I also, splattered black ink across my page and added stitching.  Like Rebecca's I added lots of little embellishments across my page using the October Mix Tape main kit and add-ons

Thank you for stopping by today, to see the full post,  please visit the Scrapbook Circle blog.

Scrapbook Circle | Run Jump

I'm sharing a layout today that I made with the Scrapbook Circle September Hello Hello kit and add-on.  One of my favorite techniques lately is paper folding.  I love that it is such a quick and easy way to turn plain old paper into a 3d embellishment.

I also have a weakness for cute puppies, and I happen to have three of them, so they make great scrap subjects.  I created my layout by folding the papers from the kit into squares, then I lined them up in a heart format.  I left two squares off on the right side to add interest to the page.  I embellished with stickers and pieces from the main kit and add-on.

Scrapbook Circle | A Wild Spirit

The patterned papers in Hello, Hello – September kit at Scrapbook Circle – are a fabulous mix of prints. If you flip to the “b” sides of these papers, you’ll find a variety of geometric shapes. From triangles to hexagons, diamonds to cubes, these shapes from your geometry days are inspiring our next technique challenge. Create a layout featuring geometric shapes.

To create my layout, I started by cutting triangles and diamonds from the Crate Paper patterned papers in the kit, as well as circles and stars. Then I combined with sequins and triangle puffy stickers, the confetti of shapes down on my page to create a fun background for with photos of my daughter.

Stop by the Scrapbook Circle blog to join in on the challenge!

Scrapbook Circle | Planner Addict

Have you all jumped on the planner craze yet?  I bought this awesome Hello Beautiful planner month's ago, and up until now I haven't done much with it.  My assignment at Scrapbook Circle this month encouraged me to jump in and get planning!  I used their July You Are My Favorite Kit and added a few pieces from the add-ons.

I love the bits and pieces included in this month's July You Are My Favorite Kit and Add-on's, they are perfect for adding simple touches to my planner.

On my calendar page for the month, I write out ahead of time, things that we have scheduled, and then as things come up and we do them, I add them to the calendar.  Bits and pieces from the main kit (July You Are My Favorite) and the July Let's Do It add-on and That Was Fun Add-on helped me to really make my pages stand out.

I hung Crate paper confetti Tassels from the binder rings on my pages.  I used a fine tip pen and Jillibean Soup Mini Alphabet stickers (included in That Was Fun Add-On) to document our plans.

The washi tape and wood veneer shapes (included in the That Was Fun Add-On) helped
bring life to my pages.

I also used a lot of the Confetti Ephemera pieces through out my planner and tucked them in here and there using pockets and paper clips (not included in kits).  My planner is now set, and ready to document lots of memories!

Scrapbook Circle | Find Your Happy

Hi everyone,

I have a layout to share with you today using the July You Are My Favorite kit from Scrapbook Circle!  I love the Craft Market Stitching paper so much (included in the main kit) that I shared a post last week using the B side of the paper.  Today, I'm sharing how I was inspired by the stitching side of the paper.

That background paper was just begging for me to add to it!  I used a piece of transparent paper and traced around a triangle with a pencil.  I cut it out and used it as a template to cut out my patterned papers and my photos.  I used a paint brush to flick white paint across my page and then then set aside to dry.  Next, I adhered my patterned paper cuts across my page and added my photos.  I added a tassel and "Find Your Happy" sticker from the That Was Fun Add-on

I hope you enjoyed my layout today, if you haven't already, stop by Scrapbook Circle to pick up your July kit today!

Scrapbook Circle | Fill It In!

I hope that you are loving the July Kit You Are My Favorite at Scrapbook Circle so far this month!  This kit is packed with so many fun possibilities!  I knew right away when I saw this Craft Market stitching paper (included in the main kit) that I just needed to add color to it!

I cut out my title using the Silhouette Cameo and then I filled in some of the flowers and leaves using my markers.

I love white space, so I purposefully left a lot of the title white.

I adhered my title to my layout and then used the exclusive stencil (included in the main kit) with white paint along the left and right side of my layout to accentuate my title.
I added my photo and embellished my page with pieces from the Let's Do It Again Add-on and the That Was Fun Add-on.

I hope you enjoyed my page today! If you try out this technique on a layout we’d love to see. Be sure to share it on our Scrapbook Circle Facebook group so we can leave you some love!

Scrapbook Circle | Take 2

Hi everyone, For this month's Take 2 post at Scrapbook Circle, I was challenged to take a previous layout from a past kit and re-do it.  For my post this month I decided to re-do this layout by the awesome Audrey Yeager.  When I first saw this layout, I was so intrigued by the overlapped design.

I kept the overall design the same.  I used my July You Are My Favorite kit to recreate my own design.  I used a triangle punch, and layered the pieces along my page.  I loved the light and blue background with brown that Audrey used in her original page.  I worked the light blue and white background onto my page by using the Jubilee paper by Crate paper.  I trimmed a strip of patterned paper and adhered it to the top of my page.

I incorporated the brown from the original design by adding the cork word "today" (included in the main kit).  To embellish my page I used a tassel from the That Was Fun Add-on, and wood veneer pieces.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Take 2 challenge.  If you create a layout using one of the Scrapbook Circle kits, we would love for you to share it with us on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page!
