Hi everyone,
Are you enjoying the Crisp Autumn weather yet?
We had a bit of a cool down last week, but too many days that were in the high 80's and low 90's this week in Northern California. I am really longing for some Crisp Autumn days. Fall is my favorite season, and it has inspired me to make this layout using the new Fusion collection from Ruby Rock-it designs.
Crisp days of Fall layout:
I paired fusion papers with some fundamental kraft pieces and some fun burlap paper from the new Cook collection.
closeup:
I just love how all these elements tie together nicely, I even added some paper from the Arcadia collection. And I added a bit of canvas paper, that I got from my local craft supply store to add some texture to the layout.
supplies: Bella! fusion sandalwood paper, leaf paper
Fundamentals: gold accents, kraft alphas
Arcadia collection: Tranquil paper
Bella! fundamentals: chipboard icons and letters
cook collection: burlap paper
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great weekend!

Birthday party favors
Hi friends,
I hope you are enjoying your summer so far, ours has been filled with many trips to the pool and birthday parties! We just celebrated my son's 10th birthday this weekend and I thought that it would be fun to make party favors featuring Bella! new fusion line and decoupage party pieces.
Birthday wish treat box:
I created the treat box using my Silhouette Cameo and 3d pyramid gift box cutting file by Lori Whitlock. Bella! fusion papers fit nicely with the party theme.
and a little something for the girls that came to the party (I added a pearl to this one, to bling it up a bit):
I used Bella! silver and white lace tape to decorate the boxes, and added sentiments and presents from the decoupage party collection. I just love how these came together, so much better than a store bought treat box.
Very simple and easy to make, and sure to be a big hit with the kids too!
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope my party favors have inspired you to make your own for your next event!

Kindred spirits
Hi Friends,
I have a sweet card that I would like to share with you today, using the new Vintedge collection and fundamentals vellum from Ruby Rock-it designs!
Kindered spirits card:
The sentiment "kindred spirits" is from a Fundamentals rub on sheet. As soon as I saw the sentiment I thought it would be fun to use on a card for a friend that is with you in spirit but may live far away.
To add texture to my card, I added some burlap that I found at my craft supply and a feather and a vintage button.
I used a punch to punch out two butterflies from vellum and adhered them to the tag. I love the pattern on this vellum and how it adds a sense of delicacy to the card.
supplies:
Ruby Rock-it: Vintedge paper, paper twine; Fundamentals: vellum and rub on sentiment
ink: dark brown (clear snap)
other: burlap, vintage button, feather (craft supply)

Being your Mom....
Hi everyone,
I hope that you are enjoying the month of May and getting lots of ideas that
have given you inspiration for celebrating Moms.
I have a layout to share with you today about Motherhood using the Paper Doll collection from Ruby Rock-it designs. This photo was taken a few months ago and it is very special to me because my daughter just this last month entered into the "teen years". Hard to believe that I am the mother of a 13year old now. She is going through lots of changes and growing up is hard, so I wanted to do a layout about our relationship.
Being your Mom layout:
I used papers, felt icons, banners, chipboard letters and stickers from the Paper doll collection and Bella! sugar candy cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by the my blog today, and we have a May challenge going on over at the RR blog. You can find out all the details here:

NSD blog hop
Hi friends,
Welcome to the Ruby Rock-it Bella! Fundamentals National Scrapbook day blog hop.
What are you doing to celebrate National Scrapbook Day? Are you scrapping at home
or going to a fun crop? I will be working on projects at home in between
the kids' activities. My husband has to go away for military drill this weekend so I
am not able to go to a crop.
I have a fun project that I made for the blog hop that I would like to share with
you using the Paper Boy collection and the new Fundamentals vellum.
Smile layout:
I wanted to match the fun hexagon paper from the Paper Boy collection so I cut out hexagons using my Slice (die cutting machine
by Making Memories). I also sanded the cardstock, placed pop dots under some of the hexagons and added a fun torn notebook paper strip.
supplies: circles and dots vellum (fundamentals)
Bella! embossed cardstock
Paper Boy collection pattern paper, chipboard icon (smile title)
Did you know that Ruby Rock-it is giving away a fabulous prize in honor
of National Scrapbook Day? All you have to do to be entered to win is leave

Spring Memories book
Hi friends,
I'm here today to share a mini album that I am making for Spring using Ruby Rock-it designs. I love the Spring weather here in California and the last few days have been warm and sunny and perfect for long walks around the neighborhood.
Earlier this month I received the new Ruby Rock-it August Moon mini album. I knew once I saw it that I wanted to make a mini book about Spring.
I would like to share the first few pages of my Spring mini album with you.
I used papers from the Nostalgia line in my book.

and I added some Fundamentals vellum and Bella! Bling
Here is the front cover of my album:

I really love how the vellum and bling looks along with the Nostalgia line, so elegant and pretty. I also added some doillies and crepe paper streamers (that I picked up at my local party store) to the cover.

For my second page in the album I added a pack of sunflower seeds (one of my favorite flowers). And on the third page of my album I added pictures of wild mushrooms that grow freely in our backyard during Spring.

I will be back later in the month to share more pages of my album with you.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Ruby rock-it Christmas traditions projects
Hi everyone, earlier this month we shared our favorite family Christmas traditions on the Ruby rock-it blog. My family's favorite Christmas tradition each year is driving up to Apple Hill to cut down our family Christmas tree. You can view my original post with all of the pictures from our trip here. After we shared our favorite traditions the design team was challenged to create 3 projects that were inspired by our tradition.
For my first project this month I created a layout using the Paper Boy collection. I took these photos of my son while we were celebrating our tradition of picking out our Christmas tree at Apple hill. They have a fishing pond there that is the perfect backdrop for photos.

and a close up

For my second tradition themed project this month, I made a Christmas card using the Bella wedding line.
Celebrate card:

I liked their embossed double sided paper so much that I chose to use both sides. The backside (white) and the gold side (front). The Bella wedding line works great for Christmas themed projects.
And for my last project, I created a card. The border strip is from the Paper Doll line and it reminded me of Christmas candy. I also thought of the cherry (from the Paper Doll tokens paper) and the sweetie pie sticker (confetti stickers). They reminded me of all the yummy sweets and pies that we buy up at Apple hill. They have pre-made pies that you can buy there and then bring home and pop in your oven. Our favorites are cherry and apple.

Thanks for allowing me to share my Ruby Rock-it Christmas traditions projects with you this month. Please stop by the Ruby rock-it blog tomorrow to see how team member Becky Olsen shares her Christmas tradition projects.
