We recently had my good friend Suzy West and her daughter Sierra stay with us. Sierra and my daughter Kalee had the best time laughing, playing and getting to know each other. After their first time visiting us (in early July) we decided that we needed to plan more 'mini vacations' with the kids while they are out of school for the summer.
Here are some fun things that we did together this past month.
made smores in the backyard:
Sierra's first smore!
Suzy and I got in on the smore action too!
took the kids to BJ's to try a pizookie
Matthew really wanted to eat the whole thing. lol
Tricia Wilson joined us for lunch and it was Tricia and Suzy's first time trying a pizookie too.
Afterwards, we went antique shopping in old Elk Grove and did a spontaneous photo shoot
this old train made a great backdrop
thank you Suzy for taking these photos!
and thanks to Sierra for taking this one...
love these girls!
These are just a few of the pics that we took during Suzy's stay with us (that started out as just a couple of days and then turned into a whole month, but who is counting, lol) We also had many more adventures including crafting with our some of our favorite friends Marie Ramirez, and Ashley N. Newell, and Tricia Wilson. I am bummed that we didn't take any photos crafting together- but hopefully next time :)
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back tomorrow to post some fun pics that Suzy and I took in Old Sacramento and at Great America.
looks like a great time! i'm bummed i wasn't there. seriously, wish i could craft with all of you girls.
