Spooktacular event at Hambly

Last week I had the opportunity to work at Hambly screenprints studios in Santa Clara, Ca. I was there representing Canon with Canon's fabulous cameras and printers so that guests that came to the event could have their photo taken and printed for free.

There was a makeup artist at the event

Mrs. Hambly really enjoyed the Selphy line of printers.

Mr. Hambly - owner of Hambly screenprints was so nice. He gave everyone a tour of the warehouse and took the time to take pictures with the guests.

I had to get a picture with friends Suzy West (facebook costume) & Sarah DeGuzman (ladybug costume)

Did I mention that I came home with tons of Hambly goodies that night? :)

Happy Wednesday

I hope everyone is having a great day. I am home with a sick child today. Matthew woke up at 5am with a stomach bug. We spent the morning together watching cartoons, drinking 7up and playing wii. Now he is having some down time and I am busy working on projects for Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine. Figured I probably won't get much done today, so I am posting some older hybrid work that I made that never made it into the magazine or my blog.

Sweet Sophie

I spent the day watching Frank's niece Sophia. At 20 months she is so smart, so sweet and so much fun to be with.
We spent the afternoon watching Little Einstein's, reading books and eating 'play food'. She also proved to be quite the model. When I asked to take her picture she said "cheese" and made her stinky face. After that she had so much fun letting me take more pictures. Her favorite part was seeing them on the LCD camera screen afterwards. I think we might have a future photographer or model on our hands

Auntie and Sophia together

Sophia insisted that we take a photo of Roxy. Sophia loves to play with Roxy.

getting excited about....

Hambly's spooktacular event on Thursday. So I wanted to share with you a layout that I made
recently using Hambly's black grid paper.

Have you ever scrapbooked on a photo before? This was a lot of fun. I got the idea from my good friend Suzy West. She is the queen of scrapping on photos. lol.
For this layout I started with an 8x10 photo printed on Canon's glossy photo paper. Then I added wallet size photos
printed with Canon's Selphy ES40 printer. To finish I added ribbon, tulle and Echo Park's paper, border and stickers from their life is good collection. It was hard to get a good photograph of the project because of the lighting, but I just love how it came out. I plan on doing many more 'scrapbooking
on my photos' again in the future.

new projects to share

I was orginally going to share this post tomorrow, but I am too excited so I am going to share it now. I created this Punky Sprouts Alfalfa Sprout album using Crate's Restoration line. I absolutely adore this line, the colors, the textures, the embellishments. I also got to use (for the first time) Studio Calico's new Mr.Huey's sprays. I am in love with their sprays. They are so much fun, and they added so much versatility to my pages.

I have to say that I had so much fun creating this album, it is one of my favorite projects

Maya Road Album

Here is a look at a Maya road album that I created recently for Canon. I used coordinating papers from October Afternoon and lots of yummy ribbons, and glimmer mist too. All of the small photos on this project were printed with Canon's portable Selphy printer. So much fun!

I am available to teach this class at a local scrapbook store near you. Thanks for looking!

Nor Cal Cricut swarm

I worked at a fun event last weekend to raise money for breast cancer research. A large 'swarm' of Cricut instructors and Cricut lovers got together to host a fun crop with over 140 attendees! I was there representing Canon at the event with cameras, so that the ladies could take pictures and print them out for free with our awesome printers. The ladies at the event held a silent auction that raised over $2000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Wow! The event was a huge success and I was very glad to be part of it. Thanks to my good friend Suzy West for coming with me and keeping me company at the event.
I wanted to share some pictures from the event with you. Enjoy!

Have you seen the new Pink Paislee line?

Have you seen the latest line from Pink Paislee and House of Three? The line is called Parisian Anthology and it is absolutely gorgeous. I am in love with the alterable papers, elements and dangly gemstones.

I bought the line over the weekend and the cute little tickets that match. I was overwhelmed at how many tickets come in one pack (100). Since I don't really need 100 tickets, I split them in half with a friend. They took us forever to count, so of course we had to take a picture.

Can't wait to get started with using this line. I have a cute project idea in mind for Canon, so I am off to create. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Friends layout

Last month I particpated in a challenge with my friends over at Scrapbook Territory in Berkeley, Ca. We got together one night and took lots of fun pictures. Our challenge was to create a layout using pictures that we took that night. Here is what I came up with using papers from Echo Park Life is good collection.

The wallet size photos were printed using Canon's portable ES40 printer. I altered the large photo in Photoshop and added a grid to the photo for texture. Then printed it on glossy 8x10 paper using Canon's MP640 printer.
