 Hi Everyone, 

Thanks for stopping by today.  I haven't been on top of blogging lately.  We have had lots going on.  We just got back from camping and my daughter graduates from junior high tomorrow.  Can't believe I am going to be the mother of a high schooler soon.  Ack!! Where does the time go?

So Many Of My Smiles Begin With You 

This picture always make me smile.  My good friend always brings her daughter with her when she comes to visit.  Even though she is a few years younger than my daughter, they always enjoy each others' company.  I kept the embellishments simple on this layout so that the main focus could be on the photo.  To make the washi flower I pleated gray chevron washi tape around a die cut circle and topped it off with a wood button.  I love the look.

Hello Puppy Love and good friends

 Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday!  Last week I traveled down to Scrapbook Territory in Berkeley to meet up with some of my awesome friends and get some scrapping done. 

We had a fun time hanging out, getting some photos taken and I actually got some work done.


While I was in the store I picked up the fun new stitching templates from Amy Tan's Yes, Please collection.  Here is a layout that I made using them.  So fun!

good friends lift each other up and support each other through life's ups and downs. I am lucky to call these two special ladies my friends. I love getting together with my girlfriends Tricia Wilson and Suzy West, going out to lunch, enjoying weekends of scrapbooking, opera, and Bazooka bubblegum. Laughing at silly things with them.

I wanted to create a friendship layout that was as fun and playful as our friendship, so I chose the Paper Cottage line by Basic Grey.

I was recently asked to be part of something BIG. I can't say what it is yet but I can promise you that it is going to rock.
I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity and thankful to be able to spend my time doing what I love.
I have been very fortunate to make strong bonds and friendships in this industry, and to have the chance to work alongside some truly talented and amazing gals. Exciting things are in the works.

GCD studios contest and some new projects

Happy Friday everyone! I want to make sure that you all know about an awesome contest that is going on over at GCD studios.
Rules:
1) create a project (it can be anything you want), but keep the theme "spring" in mind.

Secondly, I wanted to share some recent projects that I made with the Sew easy line from My little Shoebox

First is a project that I created of my niece Sophia using the Punky playground corrugated cardboard from Punky Sprouts and a fun heart button and 1 inch round epoxy from Epiphany Crafts. I also sprayed a doilly with tattered angels spray. So much fun!

Second, I created a fun layout of me with my amazing scrap friends - Tricia Wilson, Sarah de Guzman, and Suzy West.
They really are 'sew cute' and I treasure their friendships immensely.

I used an actual sewing pattern on the layout to make the fun circles, then used foam tape underneath the sewing stickers to make them pop. What do you think?

And the last project that I have to share with you today is a fun layout that I did of myself (gasp). I rarely feature myself in a layout but I thought that the paper was perfect for these fun photos that my dear friend Suzy West took of me when we were playing around one day.

Friends layout

Last month I particpated in a challenge with my friends over at Scrapbook Territory in Berkeley, Ca. We got together one night and took lots of fun pictures. Our challenge was to create a layout using pictures that we took that night. Here is what I came up with using papers from Echo Park Life is good collection.



The wallet size photos were printed using Canon's portable ES40 printer. I altered the large photo in Photoshop and added a grid to the photo for texture. Then printed it on glossy 8x10 paper using Canon's MP640 printer.
