This week is Grateful week on the American Crafts blog.  There are so many things that I am grateful for - but I've got to say at the very top of my list is my kids and the daily love, laughs and giggles that they bring.

How to: Drop a few droplets of black spray mist against a white cardstock background, set aside to dry.  Using a punch or die cut machine cut out 18 squares out of pattern paper.  Fold 9 squares in half.  Apply a thin layer of glue down the backside of the folded squares, and layer them onto the unfolded squares.  Use your fingers to curl up the edges of the folded squares to expose the bottom layer.  Adhere layered squares to background using a sewing machine.  Cut a triangle out of woodgrain paper and adhere to bottom right hand side of layout.  Stitch down with a sewing machine.  Adhere photo and photo overlay to top right hand side of layout.  Accent with wood veneer paper clip.  Spell out title "Grateful For Giggles" using thickers and letter stickers.  Journal on journaling card and adhere to bottom left hand side of layout.  Trim "Giggles" die cut in half and adhere to left hand side of layout.  Finish layout by embellishing with buttons and stickers.

Out & About *American Crafts November Gallery

Hi there!
Has it really been a week since I've blogged?  This month has just been getting away from me.  I can't believe it is going to be Thanksgiving already next week.  We are still figuring out what our plans are for Thanksgiving this year :)

I have another November Gallery Layout for American Crafts.  Have you picked up the Autumn Crisp collection yet?  This collection is a must have.  So many fun patterns!

Out and About Layout

I used my Silhouette to create the background for this 'Autumn themed' layout.  I added a few fall pictures that I have taken around the neighborhood.  Can I just say that I am so thankful to be able to experience the beautiful colors of fall each year in my town.  Seeing the leaves change to yellow, orange and red makes me so happy.

Because I chose to cut my photos into triangles (to match the background), I decided to keep the embellishments at a minimum.  I added a few fun wood pieces and die cuts.  And some stitching from Amy Tan's fabulous templates.

I also added some journaling to complete my layout.
supplies:

Autumn Crisp Wood Buttons (366531) - Elements, Autumn Crisp Cardstock Die-cuts (366532) - Bits, Autumn Crisp Paper Clips (366534) - Details, Autumn Crisp Tiny Puffy Stickers (366536) - Remarks, Autumn Crisp Acorn Avenue (366515) - Cardstock, Autumn Crisp Maple Street (366516) - Cardstock, Autumn Crisp Cherry Lane (366517) - Cardstock, Autumn Crisp Walnut Lane (366518) - Cardstock, Autumn Crisp Willow Road (366521) - Cardstock, Autumn Crisp Cedar Lane (366523) - Cardstock, Autumn Crisp Poplar Place (366524) - Cardstock, Stencil Kit Inspire (63069) - Amy Tangerine

American Crafts October Gallery - Love the Fall

Hi everyone!

I am back sharing more October Gallery layouts today for American Crafts using their brand spanking new Autumn Crisp Collection.  When this collection arrived on my doorstep I squealed.  Fall is my favorite season - and the colors, textures and embellishments in this collection are amazing!

Love The Fall Layout

My inspiration for this layout started by cruising the Silhouette store for some fun fall files.  When I am stuck on a project or just don't know where to begin, I often start there.  I found this amazing speech bubble title and these cute fall leaves there.

To give my leaves some texture, I ran them through my sewing machine, and left some of the threads hanging for a fun look.

I love the colors in this collection.  That beautiful pink gave me an excuse to try out a new spray mist that I picked up from October Afternoon called Pink Balloon (I think it is going to become a favorite of mine).  To complete the look I added some wood buttons, photo overlay, wood paperclip and fall leaves.

Also, I have a second layout to share with you today.  I couldn't pick just two layouts to share for the American Crafts October gallery so I made three.  To see my other gallery post go here.

Exploring Fall

I loved this photo that I had of my BichPoo Roxy walking around in the fall leaves and decided that it was perfect to use with the Autumn Crisp collection.

I cut the leaf, title and circular doilies using my Silhouette Cameo and then used the doilies as a mask to get my layout started.  I also handstitched around them using embroidery floss.

So Fun!

Thanks for stopping by today and letting me share my gallery layout.  If you love Fall as much as I do then this collection is a must have for you!

Have a good one!
