Scrapbook Circle | Fun Circles

I have a layout to share with you today that I made this month using the August Make It Happen kit and add-on's from Scrapbook Circle.  I love circles, and graphic shapes on my layouts!  So, I decided to combine the two on this layout.  I cut oblong pieces of paper using the 6x6 paper pad included in the You Shine Add-on, and papers from the main kit and then arranged them onto a circular format on my layout.

I used adhesive to adhere all the pieces down, and then stitched over them with a sewing machine and white thread.  Next, I printed an instagram photo and added lots of embellishments!

This was such a fun layout to make, it really plays off the fun photo.  How are you using the August kit and add-on's?  We would love for you to share your pages with on the Facebook page!

Scrapbook Circle | Find Your Happy

I have a layout to share with you today using the July You Are My Favorite kit from Scrapbook Circle!  I love the Craft Market Stitching paper so much (included in the main kit) that I shared a post last week using the B side of the paper.  Today, I'm sharing how I was inspired by the stitching side of the paper.  

That background paper was just begging for me to add to it!  I used a piece of transparent paper and traced around a triangle with a pencil.  I cut it out and used it as a template to cut out my patterned papers and my photos.  I used a paint brush to flick white paint across my page and then then set aside to dry.  Next, I adhered my patterned paper cuts across my page and added my photos.  I added a tassel and "Find Your Happy" sticker from the That Was Fun Add-on

Tags, tags, tags!  I just can't get enough of them.   They make great embellishments, they are great for journaling, and they make a big impact on projects when they are all strung together!  For this month's designer choice layout, I decided to create a layout for Scrapbook Circle this month featuring tags!

To create my layout I used the June Have a Little Fun Today kit with the June Add-on List Keeper

I placed a gray tag (included in the main kit) behind my white cardstock base and then strung a line of Pink Paislee travel tags across the top of the page.  I used a sewing machine to stitch them down.  

I added some light stamping, a few drops of yellow spray mist and a few embellishments to finish off the page.
