Kindred spirits

Hi Friends,

I have a sweet card that I would like to share with you today, using the new Vintedge collection and fundamentals vellum from Ruby Rock-it designs!

Kindered spirits card:

The sentiment "kindred spirits" is from a Fundamentals rub on sheet. As soon as I saw the sentiment I thought it would be fun to use on a card for a friend that is with you in spirit but may live far away.

To add texture to my card, I added some burlap that I found at my craft supply and a feather and a vintage button.

I used a punch to punch out two butterflies from vellum and adhered them to the tag. I love the pattern on this vellum and how it adds a sense of delicacy to the card.

supplies:

Ruby Rock-it: Vintedge paper, paper twine; Fundamentals: vellum and rub on sentiment

ink: dark brown (clear snap)

other: burlap, vintage button, feather (craft supply)

Life with a teenager...

Hi friends,
I hope that you had a great Memorial Day weekend. I am still recovering from a fun weekend of camping, boating, paddle boarding and a night out with my girlfriends (ladies night - Ya!)
We do an annual camping trip every Memorial day weekend and Labor day weekend with some of our closest friends. It is always a blast and I always have a ton of laundry to do when I get home. Thankfully I finished the mountain of laundry yesterday, so now I can play.

I have a fun layout to share with you using Studio Calico's 35mm kit.

Being your Mom....

Hi everyone,

I hope that you are enjoying the month of May and getting lots of ideas that
have given you inspiration for celebrating Moms.

I have a layout to share with you today about Motherhood using the Paper Doll collection from Ruby Rock-it designs. This photo was taken a few months ago and it is very special to me because my daughter just this last month entered into the "teen years". Hard to believe that I am the mother of a 13year old now. She is going through lots of changes and growing up is hard, so I wanted to do a layout about our relationship.

Being your Mom layout:

I used papers, felt icons, banners, chipboard letters and stickers from the Paper doll collection and Bella! sugar candy cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by the my blog today, and we have a May challenge going on over at the RR blog. You can find out all the details here:

Perfectly Content

My dogs are so cute, everyday I find them snuggled up, perfectly happy and just content being together. I love this photo that I took of Lilo and Kona snuggled up together one morning. I loved this photo so much that I decided to do a layout about them. Actually, I have used this photo before, and will probably use it again, that's how much I love it. And on mornings when I am not feeling well - you can find these two snuggled up beside me.
I went shopping on NSD at my lss and found a couple of great finds that I just could not resist. The first find was this wonderful circle lace doily stamp and white dye ink from Hero Arts and my second great find was the PB&J collection from Basic Grey. I had seen it before online, but it wasn't until I saw it in person that I completely fell in love with it. So fun!
and here is a layout that I made bringing it all together:

Content layout:

ummm, can I just say that I love the bright colors and patterns in this line. I couldn't resist their stickpins and flags too :)
Here is a close up:
Can I just say again, that I love these girls and they bring so much joy to my life!

sibling love

Good morning, I hope that your Wednesday is off to a great start. Mine has been busy so far with driving 2 carpools, doing all the grocery shopping and taking the dogs for a walk. I will be glad when summer is here and I can relax a little.
I wanted to share with you a recent layout that I made using the Here and Now kit from Elle's Studio. I really love all of the cute tags and pennants that Elle makes and I am really loving her kits too.

I took this photo of my kids during a recent trip that we took to San Francisco. I thought that it was funny and shows their personalities (big sister always messing with little brother)

Sibling Love layout:

for a fun background effect I added some Claudine Hellmuth paint using a stencil from the Crafter's workshop.
and I threw in a couple of ink spots and sequins too.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

Hi friends,
Welcome to the Ruby Rock-it Bella! Fundamentals National Scrapbook day blog hop.

or going to a fun crop? I will be working on projects at home in between

I have a fun project that I made for the blog hop that I would like to share with
you using the Paper Boy collection and the new Fundamentals vellum.

Smile layout:
I wanted to match the fun hexagon paper from the Paper Boy collection so I cut out hexagons using my Slice (die cutting machine
by Making Memories). I also sanded the cardstock, placed pop dots under some of the hexagons and added a fun torn notebook paper strip.

supplies: circles and dots vellum (fundamentals)
Bella! embossed cardstock
Paper Boy collection pattern paper, chipboard icon (smile title)

I can finally share...

I am so excited about this, now that it is May I can finally share my 3 layouts that were published in the April 2012 issue of Scrapbook Trends. April was the very first issue of Scrapbook Trends that I was ever published in and they picked up 3! I was over the moon excited when I got the happy emails from them. Now, that I understand what they are looking for I have been having pretty good luck with them - so be looking for some more published layouts on here as soon as I am allowed to share. And here they are...
(all papers, chipboard pieces and felt icons are from Ruby Rock-it's Paper Doll collection)
(I had so much fun getting creative with Hambly and washi tape on this one!)
(Did you notice the Epiphany on this one? I used Epiphany Crafts round 25 shape studio tool to create the bubblecaps at the bottom)
and I also have 1 in the April issue of Cards magazine
(And for this last one I used papers from Authentique's Gathering collection)
thanks for letting me share!
