Right Now....
Hey friends,
I hope that you are having a great Thursday so far. I just got the kids off to school and right now, I am contemplating going back to bed. So tired today.
I have a new layout to share with you using The Escape collection from Little Yellow Bicycle. I love taking themed products such as this one (The Escape collection is a traveled themed collection) and using it for another purpose. I made a layout about my sons favorite new toy - The Kendama. I captured him playing with it and titled my photos with names of tricks he has mastered.

Hugs & Kisses
Good Morning Friends,
Thanks for visiting today. It has been so cold here in Northern California. I have spent all week bundled up - trying to get warm. Whenever it is cold out, I can find my two dogs Kona, and Lilo snuggled together. They are so affectionate with one another and are always together.
I made this layout about the two of them snuggled together. They are so cute! I can't stand it.

Look for me soon in Create:Vintage Modern Idea book July 2013
I used a file (Ampersand) that I cut with my silhouette as a mask, I placed it on my paper, misted around it and then hand stitched with embroidery floss around it. The stitching took a long time to finish, but I did it while I was watching a movie with the kids.
I mostly stuck to neutrals on this layout, but added little pops of color in my buttons.
I added the hand stitched word "hugs" to a canvas tag.
supplies:
pattern paper: mustache love, borders - Kiss Me collection (Bella Blvd.)
buttons: button market: wood mix (Bella Blvd.)
designer tape: pony dot, blue gingham (Bella Blvd.)
stickers: brown-cream high five alphas (Bella Blvd.)
canvas tag: Maya Road
spray mist; Mister Huey's (Studio Calico)
doily,twine: craft supply
embroidery floss: DMD
kraft paper: My Mind's Eye
tag: Staples
kraft pocket: recollections
adhesive: ATG (Scotch)
die cutting machine: Silhouette Cameo (QuicKutz)
dies: ampersand (Kolette Hall)

sharing some recent pubs...
Good Morning,
I realized this morning that I am really behind on sharing some of my recent publications. So here we go...
In November, I shared this post on the WOW embossing powder blog. It was a team post, and the very last project on that post was a layout that I had published titled "Friends". That layout was published in September 2012 edition of Create: Stamping
I also had 3 other projects in that mag I created for WOW, that I haven't shared yet.
I used a Studio Calico kit for this first one...
Child's play
This layout was showcased in their Vintage section. I die cut the title letters and then heat embossed them with WOW! black glitter embossing powder.
This card was a lot of fun, I heat embossed on canvas.
A Tight Squeeze from Me to You
and for the last one, I heat embossed on fabric. I stamped my damask stamp in watermark ink and then heat embossed using clear embossing powder. The result was a very light design.
Puppy Love
That's it for today. I'm off to the gym. Be back with more projects tomorrow :)
