Scrapbook Circle | Be Real

Hi there!  I'm trying something a little different for this month's Be Real post at Scrapbook Circle.  Each month a couple of creative team members are assigned to use Instagram photos on a layout or a pocket scrapbooking page.  I decided to change it up this month by creating a Be Real instagram photo album instead.

@gina_lideros @scrapbookcircle Use Instagram photos to create your own unique handmade album #pinkpaislee #ppfancyfree #cratepaper #americancrafts

I loved the papers and embellishments that were included in the May Here and Now kit and coordinating add-ons.  I started off my insta album by cutting up the corrugated white cardstock included in the main kit.  It is thick and versatile, so I decided that it would make a great surface for my pages.  First, I used a paper trimmer and trimmed white corrugate pieces into 7 5"x 5" square pieces.  I purchased a patterned paper add-on this month, in order to create this album you would need to have extra corrugated paper on hand or you could cut your pages to 4"x 4" each and one sheet should do the trick.

After cutting up my corrugated background pages, I then cut up pieces of patterned papers from the main kit and May add-on kits measuring 5" x 5" each.  I then placed each cut patterned paper on each corrugated piece.  Once I got all of my papers placed, I used my crop a dile to punch through each page, and then adjoined them all using a jump ring.

Next, I printed off a couple of Instagram photos and a couple of small wallet sized photos.

Once the photos were in place I used a lot of embellishments, Thickers, thread, spray ink, lace netting and a couple of other items to finish each page.

My last page of the album is my "favorites" page. I used a tag (included in the main kit) to journal a few things about our special day.

Overall, I'm so happy with how this "Be Real" mini album turned out!

Scrapbook Circle | Captured

Hi everyone!  I have a layout on the Scrapbook Circle blog today to share with you, that I made using the December 'We are Made of Stories' Kit.  When I first saw the papers & embellishments included in the December kit, I was so excited.  I absolutely loved the patterned papers included in the kit.  Which brings me to my design team choice: pattern piecing.

To create my layout I first started by using a punch to punch out triangles from pattern paper.  Then I lined them up on my page, with a ruler to create the fun background design.

Next, I used a sewing machine to stitch the pieces in place.  I used embellishments from the kit and the December Favorite Elf Add-on to embellish my page.

I hope you are inspired by my layout today!

Hello Selfie Layout

This is such a fun kit to work with, I love the rich jewel tones, exclusive cork pieces and those really fun ChicTags clips.

I used two add-ons this month along with my kit.  Some of the smaller scale paper in the piechart are from the August Add-on Bungalow.  The chipboard frame, star stickers, wood sequins and chipboard pieces are from the August Add-on Tiki Torch.

Today Layout *The Cut Shoppe DT

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to share my first official The Cut Shoppe DT layout with you!

Today Layout
I love using big bold statement pieces on my layouts.  Once I enlarged the Going In Circles cut file and backed it with different pieces of coordinating patterned papers, it became just that :)

For my first layout this month I used the Going in Circles cut file (enlarged) and the Say Anything cut file to create the title.

I am having so much fun with these cut files and can't wait to share more upcoming projects with you!
You can see all the other amazing files in The Cut Shoppe Store!

Don't forget to play along with our monthly challenge for a chance to win a $10 GC to the store!  Here are the details! Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Crazy Cool Fun

Hi everyone!

I hope your day is off to a great start.  I have been busy working on Design team projects for American Crafts that I am not able to share yet.  So, I thought that I would post a few layouts today that I did just for fun.
I recently picked up the June kit from Scrapbook Circle.  This is such a fun kit to play with.  The mix of colors and patterned paper in kit are so on trend.

Hello There Layout
I used a circle punch to cut out some circles and then I divided them in halves and used them to create a background for my layout.  I added some stitching, a title and the fun embellishments included in the kit and my layout came together in a snap.

and here is a second layout that I made with the June kit this month...

Be Yourself Layout

I love mixed titles, so I thought that it would be fun to create a title from the alphas and die cuts included in the kit.

I used a Silhouette background file to cut out all the fun triangles used behind my photo.  I really had a lot of fun creating this layout with all the fun embellishments included in the kit.  I love that little lightbulb paper clip.  It is crazy cute :)
Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my 'just for fun' layouts.  Have a Crazy Cool Fun week!
