Pink Paislee and Page Maps

The Pink Paislee team has teamed up with PageMaps this month to bring you the June 2015 PageMaps!!  I was so excited when I got my sketch, I love working with Becky's sketches!

Here is the layout that I made based on the sketch using the fabulous Atlas collection.

I stuck pretty close to the overall theme of the sketch.  One thing I did change was using using tags in place of the three bottom photos.  Have I mentioned that I love everything about the Atlas collection?  There are so many wonderful pieces, I found it hard to choose a few and not over embellish my page.  I grouped stars from the ephemera pack along with cork star stickers to the top of the page.  I added a few drops of Heidi Swapp Navy spray mist, typed journaling and some light machine stitching.  I found the sketch was really easy and fun to work with and I just love the outcome!

Hello Creative Readers!

We have a special reveal today. We have partnered with The Cut Shoppe owned by our DT Member Ashley Horton. Our Design Team members were offered a few cut files and asked to play with them with their layouts this week.

What I took from the sketch:  I kept the placement of the photos, title, star embellishments, ampersand and arrow in the same place.  What I changed:  I did away with the block pattern and instead used a pattern paper (by Pink Paislee) that had a sun ray.  I added simple machine stitching to the rays.

To create my layout I used the Counting Stars cut file (that I placed behind my bottom photo).

There are so many fun papers to play with in this kit.  And included in this kit is a whole package of flair.  Wow!  Sarah really spoiled us this month.  I had so much fun putting this together.  Here are a few close up shots.

August Sketch Challenge

Hi there!
I hope you all are enjoying a nice start to your weekend.  Today is the day to share with you my first Sketch Challenge over at Life.Paper.Scrapbook.  I am a little excited and giddy about this because it is my first project that I have created for LPS, and it was totally fun!

I have been eyeing the Sweet Shoppe collection from Lily Bee for awhile and finally decided to break down and purchase a few pieces.  I love the way the patterns in this collection compliment my black and white photos of my kids goofing around and sharing a few jokes at the park.  My layout started out true to the sketch with a large circle behind my photos.  But then it took on a whole new direction.  Does that ever happen to you?  lol.  After moving my photos around I decided to go with a large vellum square piece as my backdrop instead.  I still kept plenty of circles on my layout with my Lily Bee sweet shoppe stickers and Atlantic pieces.

Pagemaps November

Hi everyone,

Wow, can you believe that it is already November 1st? Where does the time go?

I would like to share something fun with you today - since it is November 1st.
I was asked to be part of Becky Fleck's PageMaps for November showcasing the
new Ruby Rock-it designs Cook collection.

Here is my layout that I created for the sketch challenge.
Everyday Family Moments:

I kept the general concept of the sketch but switched out her title and sub title for a larger title and removed one of the photos so that I could use a larger 4x6 photo.

I must admit, I don't use sketches very often. But, I found this sketch very easy to use and I loved the outcome!
