DIY Pretty Packages

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of http://canoncreativegirl.blogspot.com/.  I do receive financial compensation and material product from Crate Paper to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

Do you have extra bags on hand?  Wondering what to do with them?  I had a couple of cute muslin drawstring bags lying around that I thought would make cute packaging for gift giving.

I started by using a 1"inch circle punch from EK Success to punch out circles from gold glitter paper.

I then used liquid adhesive to adhere the gold glitter circles to my bags in a polka dot pattern.

Next, came the embellishing.   Oh, how I love the fun papers and embellishments in the Crate paper Cute girl collection.  I chose papers and altered items that would work for birthdays or the everyday.

The tassels in the Cute girl collection are so gorgeous.  I wanted to use them all, but I decided on two of my favorites - (b/w polka dots with gold and mint with gold) to use on my bags.

I also added some darling ephemera pieces, gold bow paper clips and chipboard pieces.

From my own stash I added a few doilies (white and gold) and gold glitter paper clips.

These bags came together in a snap and would be great for any occasion.

Pink Paislee | Desk Home Decor

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of http://canoncreativegirl.blogspot.com/.  I do receive financial compensation and material product from Pink Paislee to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

I'm excited to share a home office decor project with you today using the new C'est La Vie collection from Pink Paislee.  I love cute projects that I can display in my home office.  Even better if they are decor projects that can be changed out easily for different occasions.  To do so easily I love to use clip frames.

I found this clip frame at my local hobby shop.  I added bits and pieces from the ephemera pack, paper clips, cork pieces and puffy stickers.  There are so many pieces to this collection that I love!

I printed a couple of small wallet sized photos and added a frame to the bottom piece and a black watercolor acetate letter.  It all came together in snap!  This is a fun project that you can easily display in your home or office, and change out easily for different seasons or occasions.

1. Gather your mini album and supplies.

my patterned papers 4"x4".

4. Add paper and Instagram photos to album.  Embellish photo by adding
rub ons.

5. Use the Heidi Swapp Minc Machine to add gold foil to Finders Keepers
postcards.  After foiling, trim postcards to 4"x4".

7. Use a tab punch to punch out tabs from various patterned papers.
Adhere tabs to each page of the album.

Pink Paislee | Clip It Up!

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of http://canoncreativegirl.blogspot.com/.  I do receive financial compensation and material product from Pink Paislee to develop my craft posts, but all ideas and opinions are my own.

Hello Everyone!  This week we are sharing special ways to Clip it up, using the Memorandum collection on the Pink Paislee blog.  I am so excited about this collection!  Not only is it fun and super trendy, it is also perfect for keeping you organized!

When I saw the gold clipboard included in the Memorandum collection, I gasped!  I love gold, and knew that it would make the perfect addition to my office.  I decided to use the clipboard as a way to clip together notes and plans.
I used the "today" folder, included in the mini file pack, and adhered it to my clipboard as a way to keep track of things.  I cut several small cards from the Memorandum punch card patterned paper to fit inside my folder.
I created a simple banner for my clipboard by cutting out triangles from the Memorandum memo patterned paper and then used my sewing machine to stitch them together into a banner.

The washi tape strips included in the washi tape pack made the perfect simple embellishment to add to my note cards.
I hope that you enjoyed my post today, and that it inspires you to clip up your own ideas!!
