The Cut Shoppe | Amazing

Hi everyone,

I'm sharing a layout that I made for The Cut Shoppe using their free NSD cut file.

Supplies: The Cut Shoppe: Etc. Etc. Etc. cut file; American Crafts: Shimelle True Stories Patterned Papers, wood veneer, stickers, die cuts, buttons, enamel dots; Bazzill: White cardstock; Studio Calico: Mister Huey's Inky Black spray mist

How To: Enlarge the amazing tag, included in the Etc. Etc. Etc. cut file.  Use the eraser tool in Silhouette studio to remove the outside lines of the tag.  Cut file out of white cardstock paper.  Back cut with a photo behind the large "A".  Back white cardstock cut file with another piece of white cardstock underneath.  Use a 1" square punch to punch squares out of different pieces of patterned papers.  Use scissors to cut each square diagonally.  Line up triangle pieces in three vertical lines on each side of page. Flick black spray mist across the page.  Use a sewing machine to stitch some of the pieces down.  Embellish with stickers, wood buttons, die cuts and wood veneer pieces.

thanks for stopping by!

National Scrapbook Day with Bella Blvd.

Hi There,

Happy National Scrapbook Day! Are you doing anything special to celebrate?
We are celebrating National Scrapbook Day over at Bella Blvd. with all about me layouts. Stop by the Bella Blvd. blog to see what the Design Team came up with and for your chance to win.

Every hour on the hour the design team will be showcasing their "All About Me" layouts and be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win 1 of 2 giveaways. Yay!

Here is what I came up with as my "Me" page.
I rarely have photos taken of just me or scrap about myself. Right after we were given this assignment I had a friend come
in to town and I asked her to take some photos of me. I embraced the challenge and learned to let go a little and have fun.
My favorite colors that represent my style right now are a mix of teal, orange and yellow. The Sand and Surf collection was
perfect for complimenting my style and I had fun adding in some crochet hearts and feathers pieces too. A new technique
that I taught myself while making this layout was I ran out of chipboard alpha's (Pickle Juice) for my title, so I took another
alpha I had on hand (Pony) and wrapped it with Designer gray chevron tape. I love the look!

supplies:
Sand and Surf: GPS, Borders
Cardstock Stickers: Alpha + Bits, Miniatures
Chipboard: Sienna Alpha - Pickle Juice, Pony
High Five Alphas: Black White High Fives
Love And Marriage: Borders
Engaged At Last: Bachelor Extras
Designer Tape: Ice Stripe, Blue Chevron, Polka Dot Combo, Gray Chevron
Crochet Hearts: Orange, Bell Pepper, Gulf
Feathers: Orange, Cream, Gulf
Button Market: Text

Questions:
1. What are your top 5 supplies/products that you cannot scrap without?
Sewing machine, foam squares, enamel dots, silhouette cameo, kraft or white cardstock
2. What do you listen to while you scrap? TV, music, or do you do your best working in silence?
I always have Pandora radio on (usually Bruno Mars or Maroon 5) or tv shows that I have DVR'd
3. What snacks and/or drinks are beside you when you're scrapping?
If I am cropping at home it is usually fruit and water, but if I am at a crop and they have junk food
I am bad. It is so hard to say no when it's in front of me. Peanut MM's are a fave.
4. When do your do your best scrapping? Are you a morning scrapper, a late night scrapper, or do you find time during the day?
I scrap throughout the day in between errands and chores, I usually have a project on my desk at all times and work on it here and
there.
5. Be honest. Where do your layouts go once you're done with them? In albums, in piles, or shoved in random places?
I'm glad you asked that question, I haven't put my layouts into albums for years (hoping I'm not the only one).
They go into piles and I have a cabinet they get shoved into sometimes.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about me, be sure to head on over to the Bella Blvd. Blog  to learn more about the design team and leave a comment for your chance to win!

NSD blog hop

Hi friends,
Welcome to the Ruby Rock-it Bella! Fundamentals National Scrapbook day blog hop.
What are you doing to celebrate National Scrapbook Day? Are you scrapping at home
or going to a fun crop? I will be working on projects at home in between
the kids' activities. My husband has to go away for military drill this weekend so I
am not able to go to a crop.
I have a fun project that I made for the blog hop that I would like to share with
you using the Paper Boy collection and the new Fundamentals vellum.

Smile layout:
I wanted to match the fun hexagon paper from the Paper Boy collection so I cut out hexagons using my Slice (die cutting machine
by Making Memories). I also sanded the cardstock, placed pop dots under some of the hexagons and added a fun torn notebook paper strip.

supplies: circles and dots vellum (fundamentals)
Bella! embossed cardstock
Paper Boy collection pattern paper, chipboard icon (smile title)

Did you know that Ruby Rock-it is giving away a fabulous prize in honor
of National Scrapbook Day? All you have to do to be entered to win is leave
