SAS_HEADER
Good Morning everyone!  Welcome to another installment of the Atlas Summer Series with Pink Paislee.
Today I am sharing a layout about capturing a moment at the park.  I took lots of photos on this day of my son playing at the park and enjoying a nice open field, but this one is my favorite.  The clouds were so prominent in the sky, the sunshine was warm and there was a nice cool breeze in the air.  I captured this photo of my son, stopping for a moment to take it all in.
Park days in the Summer are sometimes hard to come by in Northern California, some days are just to hot to go out and play.  On this particular day the weather was nice, and I love that this photo truly encapsulates him enjoying nature.

To create my layout, I started off by cutting a diamond background with my Silhouette Cameo.  I used my background as a template, and placed it over my page.  I cut several 1/2" squares using my machine and filled in the blanks (leaving some open and space for my photo).  A fun diamond background also calls for a diamond shaped photo.  I used a ruler and paper trimmer to cut my photo and then added it to my page.
I love lots of little details on my pages!  So I added drops of Heidi Swapp Coral Color Shine, machine stitching, puffy stickers, ephemera and chipboard stickers to my page.

If you would like to learn how to recreate this layout step by step, you can download the sheet on the Pink Paislee blog to learn more.

Scrapbook Circle | Planner Addict

Have you all jumped on the planner craze yet?  I bought this awesome Hello Beautiful planner month's ago, and up until now I haven't done much with it.  My assignment at Scrapbook Circle this month encouraged me to jump in and get planning!  I used their July You Are My Favorite Kit and added a few pieces from the add-ons.

I love the bits and pieces included in this month's July You Are My Favorite Kit and Add-on's, they are perfect for adding simple touches to my planner.

On my calendar page for the month, I write out ahead of time, things that we have scheduled, and then as things come up and we do them, I add them to the calendar.  Bits and pieces from the main kit (July You Are My Favorite) and the July Let's Do It add-on and That Was Fun Add-on helped me to really make my pages stand out.

I hung Crate paper confetti Tassels from the binder rings on my pages.  I used a fine tip pen and Jillibean Soup Mini Alphabet stickers (included in That Was Fun Add-On) to document our plans.

The washi tape and wood veneer shapes (included in the That Was Fun Add-On) helped
bring life to my pages.

I also used a lot of the Confetti Ephemera pieces through out my planner and tucked them in here and there using pockets and paper clips (not included in kits).  My planner is now set, and ready to document lots of memories!

Scrapbook Circle | Find Your Happy

Hi everyone,

I have a layout to share with you today using the July You Are My Favorite kit from Scrapbook Circle!  I love the Craft Market Stitching paper so much (included in the main kit) that I shared a post last week using the B side of the paper.  Today, I'm sharing how I was inspired by the stitching side of the paper.

That background paper was just begging for me to add to it!  I used a piece of transparent paper and traced around a triangle with a pencil.  I cut it out and used it as a template to cut out my patterned papers and my photos.  I used a paint brush to flick white paint across my page and then then set aside to dry.  Next, I adhered my patterned paper cuts across my page and added my photos.  I added a tassel and "Find Your Happy" sticker from the That Was Fun Add-on

I hope you enjoyed my layout today, if you haven't already, stop by Scrapbook Circle to pick up your July kit today!

The Cut Shoppe | Be Awesome

Hello!  I have a simple and fun layout to share with you today using the Trippy Triangles cut file and the Words To Live By cut file!  As soon as I saw the new Happy Things collection from Pinkfresh Studio, I knew I just had to use it along with the Trippy Triangles background!

How To:  I arranged a couple of triangles from the Trippy Triangles cut file and the "Be Awesome" title onto my workspace in Silhouette Studio and cut them out of 12x12 white cardstock.  After my cut was complete I adhered patterned paper to the backside of "awesome" and my triangle cuts.
I then printed a 4x6 photo and placed it behind the "Be" word.  I used a needle and black thread to hand stitch around my cut out triangles.  I then adhered acrylic triangle pieces (from the collection) and a couple of hand cut triangles around my design.  I flicked black spray mist across my page, and finished by adhering wood veneer pieces and puffy stickers.

I hope that you are inspired by my page today, and try to create your own triangular background, I'm sure it would be awesome!!

Scrapbook Circle | Fill It In!

I hope that you are loving the July Kit You Are My Favorite at Scrapbook Circle so far this month!  This kit is packed with so many fun possibilities!  I knew right away when I saw this Craft Market stitching paper (included in the main kit) that I just needed to add color to it!

I cut out my title using the Silhouette Cameo and then I filled in some of the flowers and leaves using my markers.

I love white space, so I purposefully left a lot of the title white.

I adhered my title to my layout and then used the exclusive stencil (included in the main kit) with white paint along the left and right side of my layout to accentuate my title.
I added my photo and embellished my page with pieces from the Let's Do It Again Add-on and the That Was Fun Add-on.

I hope you enjoyed my page today! If you try out this technique on a layout we’d love to see. Be sure to share it on our Scrapbook Circle Facebook group so we can leave you some love!

We usually go somewhere where we can hike, camp or see the beach during our summer vacation.  These photos are from a trip to  Valley of Fire, that we took in 2012.  We were so taken back by the scenery and areas to hike.  I brought my camera phone and my DSLR, so that we could be sure to capture photos on our trip.

Summer Adventure Series! @pinkpaislee @gina_lideros pinkpaislee ppAtlas ScrapbookingTo create my layout, I cut the background from a background cut file using the Silhouette Cameo and then backed each circular piece with various pieces of patterned papers from the Atlas 12x12 paper pad.  The inspiration came to me when I was thinking about a countdown to Summer, and loved the numbers and icons on this cut file.

I splattered white paint across the navy side of the Latitude paper (included in the 12x12 paper pad), before adhering it to some of the circular pieces.  I also hand cut a tag from Altitude paper (yellow stars) and tucked it behind the number 5 circle before adhering down.

To add a handmade feel to the page, I used a needle and white embroidery floss to hand stitch around the heart and ampersand circles.

To finish off my layout, I sprinkled Navy color shine spray mist across the page and embellished with stickers, tags and ephemera pieces.  I hope you use the Atlas collection to document some of your favorite summer memories.  The colors and theme of the collection is perfect for documenting those memories!

Scrapbook Circle | Take 2

Hi everyone, For this month's Take 2 post at Scrapbook Circle, I was challenged to take a previous layout from a past kit and re-do it.  For my post this month I decided to re-do this layout by the awesome Audrey Yeager.  When I first saw this layout, I was so intrigued by the overlapped design.

I kept the overall design the same.  I used my July You Are My Favorite kit to recreate my own design.  I used a triangle punch, and layered the pieces along my page.  I loved the light and blue background with brown that Audrey used in her original page.  I worked the light blue and white background onto my page by using the Jubilee paper by Crate paper.  I trimmed a strip of patterned paper and adhered it to the top of my page.

I incorporated the brown from the original design by adding the cork word "today" (included in the main kit).  To embellish my page I used a tassel from the That Was Fun Add-on, and wood veneer pieces.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Take 2 challenge.  If you create a layout using one of the Scrapbook Circle kits, we would love for you to share it with us on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook page!
