Make A Wish | The Cut Shoppe

Hi Everyone,

I have a new post up at The Cut Shoppe today, using their brand new Sew Loved cut file.

To create my layout I took the Sew Loved cut file and opened it in my Silhouette Studio software program.  I used a copy + paste option to repeat the pattern several times and then cut the file from patterned paper.  I also used the same method to cut the pattern several times from white cardstock.
I used watercolor paints on several of the hearts, and then grouped them all behind my photo!

Scrapbook Circle | Captured

Hi everyone!  I have a layout on the Scrapbook Circle blog today to share with you, that I made using the December 'We are Made of Stories' Kit.  When I first saw the papers & embellishments included in the December kit, I was so excited.  I absolutely loved the patterned papers included in the kit.  Which brings me to my design team choice: pattern piecing.

To create my layout I first started by using a punch to punch out triangles from pattern paper.  Then I lined them up on my page, with a ruler to create the fun background design.

Next, I used a sewing machine to stitch the pieces in place.  I used embellishments from the kit and the December Favorite Elf Add-on to embellish my page.

I hope you are inspired by my layout today!

Scrapbook Circle | Dear Santa

Hi everyone!

I have a post up on the Scrapbook Circle blog today using the December We Are Made of Stories kit.

As a Scrapbook Circle Creative Team member - I was chosen to take part in the December Kit Inspired Challenge -Silver and Gold this month.  I had fun with hanging my photo and other embellishments on this page using hanging tags!  I embellished the tags with the Pink Paislee silver foil numbers and words included in the kit.  To add gold to the layout - I added a small piece of Crate Paper gold striped vellum paper and I unraveled the gold/white twine included in the kit.  I seperated the gold thread and used it as accents around my page.  If you look closely, you will see how some of the strings are natural-colored, and the center one still has gold thread.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my layout stop by Scrapbook Circle to pick up their December We are Made of Stories Kit today!
